TS2017 Metrolink EMD F59PH Physics Mod

This is the Tri-Rail EMD F40PHL-2 & Companion Bombardier BiLevel Cab Car Physics Modification pack version 1.0

In order to utilize this freeware physics upgrade, you must have purchased the "Miami Commuter Rail F40PHL-2 Loco Add-On" pack available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/277756

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to further modify the physics enhancements found in this pack for personal use if you so choose.

There are MINOR sound adjustments included in this pack (namely volume raising of the bell and horn), but no sounds are changed.

The purpose of this pack is to adjust the locomotive weight, fuel capacity, motor amperage limits, and braking effort values for more realistic operation. This pack also fixes the throttle animation in the ND cab car.

KEY OPERATIONAL NOTES:

  1. This pack turns the ND locomotive and ND cab car into HEP physics versions.

  2. In order to achieve maximum realism, you must operate the ND cab and the ND locomotive together, and the non-ND cab and non-ND locomotive together.

  3. Because this pack includes various physics sets, the extra files confuse the consist editor. Therefore, there are several non-functional selections in the consist editor for the cab car and locomotive.

  4. Mix and match until you find a working consist.

General Parameter Change Log:

  1. Set fuel tank capacity to 2,600 gallons.

  2. Increased locomotive weight to 264,552 lbs (120 metric tons).

  3. Maximum tractive amps is 1785; maximum braking amps is 700.

  4. Adjusted dynamic brake effort rating and curve for more realistic operation.

  5. Adjusted brake pressures for increased brake operation accuracy.

Technical specifications for F40PHL-2 (no HEP) and F40PHL-2 (HEP):

IMPORTANT; Install Instructions

  1. Locate F40PHLPack01 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\F40PHLPack01)

  2. Open DTG_Tri-Rail_EMD_F40PHL-2_Physics_Mod_Pack.7z

  3. Drag the file folders from the .rar in step 2 into the directory you opened in step 1.

  4. The installation should be complete. Run TS2015 to check.

  5. If installation is botched or does not work, to back up to original files, delete the folders from step 3.

User's Manual (too long for the description box; be sure to read the readme.txt file that comes with the download).
